US visit visa from the UAE: how it works
UAE residents who need a US visitor visa (B1/B2) for tourism, family visits or short business trips apply online with the DS-160 form, pay the application fee, then attend an interview at the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi or the US Consulate General in Dubai. If the visa is approved, your passport is returned with the visa inside.
Interview waiting times change through the year and can be long, so start early. Plan your trip only after you have a confirmed interview date.
Documents for a US visa interview
- Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your stay, plus old passports
- DS-160 confirmation page and appointment letter
- UAE residence visa and Emirates ID
- Bank statements for the last 6 months
- Salary certificate or employment letter, or a trade licence if you own a business
- A short, clear plan for your trip: dates, where you will stay and who you will visit
How Rambelz helps
- A visa expert reviews your profile and documents before you apply.
- We complete the DS-160 with you, so the answers are consistent and accurate.
- We book the appointment and watch for earlier dates.
- We prepare you for the interview with the questions officers usually ask.
We help you present a clear, honest application. The decision is made by the US consular officer.
Common reasons US visas are refused
- Weak ties to the UAE or your home country, such as a new job or no fixed residence
- Answers in the interview that do not match the DS-160
- An unclear purpose of travel or a trip that does not match your income
- Earlier overstays or refusals that are not declared
